What It Is
Identity Quality Assurance™ is a methodology for assuring that an identity assertion (credential plus identity infrastructure) is appropriate, as measured in each of eight categories, for access to and privileges in the specific digital and/or physical assets or procedures which use it.
The 8 Dimensions of Identity Quality™
The eight categories or “dimensions” in which IDQA™ measures identity quality are:- 1. Protects Personal Assets
- 2. Quality of Enrollment Practices
- 3. Quality of Means of Assertion
- 4. Authoritative Attestation Quality
- 5. Degree of Collegial Attestation
- 6. Quality of the Credential
- 7. Degree of Assumption of Liability
- 8. Longevity of Usage
How it Works
The reliability, or quality, of a claim of identity, is measured according to the Eight Dimensions of Identity Quality™ and then assigned a score for each dimension. The total score is then tallied.

Why It's So Important
Identities and Identity Management are two different things. You must know the quality, and therefore the reliability, of the identities in your system before you manage them. Be confident that the IDQA™ of each identity is appropriate to its current and planned application.
